Thanks to its unique sliding properties, Arion Sim-Slide® provides a simple solution to help put on and take off more easily medical compression stockings and tights with an open toe. Arion Sim-Slide® reduces friction between the skin and the compression garment. This helps the stocking slide easily and smoothly over the skin. This contributes also to reducing the physical strain and daily stress associated with the donning and doffing task. Finally, it supports a better therapy compliance.

The friction reduction is particularly helpful to slide the garment over the heel area, which is the broadest part of the foot.

Arion Sim-Slide® is compact and lightweight. It turns to be a convenient self-management aid for compression wearers themselves. But it is also adapted to and useful for caregivers who assist them, making their work easier – every day.

Complementary products & tips

For an optimal user experience and to reduce the physical effort to a minimum, we recommend to use further aids in combination with the Arion Sim-Slide®:

  • Anti-slip gloves ensure a better grip on your garment and prevent damages that might be caused by fingers, fingernails or jewelry.
  • For long stockings or tights: Arion SlideX used as an extension to Arion Sim-Slide® will help the garment slide up to the knee and towards the hip.
  • An anti-slip mat can help adjust the position of the stocking on the heel and toe area and remove the stocking off your foot without bending down too long.
  • If you put on your stockings yourself independently, put your foot on a low chair/stool (approx. 40-45cm high) to reach your toes more easily without having to bend down too much or too often.
